This might sound dumb, but this whole situation has me kind of pissed off. I just feel like the Spurs get no respect. I know this outcome couldn't have been predicted. But it's the fact that the Spurs are always USED by the NBA to promote a "global game." So of course it's the Spurs playing in a hole unsafe country with some ty ass arena. I don't care how new the place is, it's Mexico. Anytime it's lucrative for the NBA to use the Spurs to look good to a different country the NBA jumps on the opportunity. "Oh look at the NBA's racial diversity." Yet the Spurs get on in America, the NBA never promotes them, rarely do they get national televised games, rarely do they get recognized. Yet teams like the Heat, Knicks, and Lakers are always on and propped up. What a deal.

Mexico City is the same distance as Minnesota, and spares them a road game (though it's not like the Target Center is the Rose Garden).
Too bad stern couldnt have been there and the cartels didn't take him away
