Matt Bonner makes his return to Toronto, where he spent the first two years of his career and was a fan favorite. What most people don't know is that... that is where he got his nickname "The Red Rocket" from. Bonner took the public transportation to games (on a metro-rail that was known as the Rocket". These trains were red color (which is also the color of Bonner's hair), and that's why Bonner is nicknamed "The Red Rocket" because of his red hair, his usage of the public transportation system, and his ability to catch fire from long range (lol, this is a little too much symbolism and meaning... even for me haha)

IŽll say he has red hair and gets hot from the 3point line, if he had brown hair couldnt be red rocket just because he used red trains.
