why is he still bricking shoots? I am worried because if Duncan can't realize that shooting jumpers won't win the spurs championship no one would really tell him..

Save me the BS when he does score efficiently with his jumper once every 10 games...blind homers.

He needs to either let the ball move, roll, fight for a deeper position, let parker shoot, allow kawhi to take some shoots etc.

He's really inefficient right now..Teams will exploit this in the playoffs...I just hope to God he's smart enough to know that teams actually wants him to take that shot.

    Why?

it Is a legit concern. No one is saying he's garbage. he's just poor with his decision making...

A discussion can be made as what would be a better alternative than Duncan shooting 18-20 foot jumpers.

Tell me again why Duncan punished Miami inside in the finals. Oh wait you won't cause obviously Duncan jumpshot his way to the Finals last year.

One of the motion sets results in Duncan popping out for a possible J. It's an option derived from the system tbh. You take that shot. It's an open shot.

It is a commonly known fact that Duncan decided to re-fashion his game a few years ago, focusing more on the mid-range game and posting up less.

He is pretty inefficient this season, but I'd rather hope he plays better than rely on the other players in big games.

I haven't been that active but OP has quickly become one of the worst GNSF's of the year.

takes, threads, bad punctuation, bad spelling.

It's why he's still playing as well as he is. You have to adjust at that stage of your career.

Because the system isn't 4 down anymore. Back then it was 4 down with some perimeter spacing. That ship has sailed son.

Tim's coasting tbh...idk what posters want more from a 37 year old almost going through the motions in meaningless early regular season games.

Yup. Its saving him energy. He's making sure he is using most of his energy on D and rebounding, where we need him the most.

his FG% has risen from 35% or so to 46% now IIRC..

He's shooting over 50% on his jump shot in the past 10 games, too..

22 and 12 on 9-17 shooting in 29 minutes. If only Tim was more efficient.

timmy leaves the posting up play for the playoff. that's what he has been doing for the last two years

Tim Duncan is no longer the legendary level player that he was in his heyday however he is still better at his age than other teams' best bigs. That says a lot about him.

Its the other players fault that Duncan is shooting so much jumpshots
since no one can handle or dribble a ball they always look to Duncan to ball them out after taking 1 or 2 dribbles inside
if we had better slashers he wouldnt be jacking up shots at a team leading pace
