There's more to life than some stupid sports rings and i though you'd know that by now (as i'm guessing you're nearing 60).
Barkley is a good dude who was never afraid to speak his mind and people (including his friends) actually appreciate and respect that. I can't say the same about MJ. As players you can get away with ego and pride, but the moment you retire that is put to bed. His retirement speech alone says it all.
Barkley is a race baiting phony who would never put it all out on the court because he was afraid it would never be quite enough.
He let other men like MJ use him, and walk him to the rocks. It was Barkley who gave up the 3 to Paxson, but, Media would not go there. No ing way, not then and not every day since.

Mike has trust issues that likely stem from his childhood. It's not about being shunned in sports. However, just as he found it within him to pass to Paxon and to Kerr, he has to find it within him to surround himself with talent, not just friends. Otherwise they'll always be a ty team.
Charles should not leave TNT. It will be really hard to watch if he does. I like Ernie and Kenny, but the dynamic cannot be easily reproduced. Chuck is just giving TNT time to come up with a Kobe like contract for him.
