lol no way, thats not pop is it? i can't believe he used to look like that when he was younger.
You'd think after what happened he'd be humbled a little but hey its Pop, biggest ego in the Spurs organization by far, thinking he has it all figured out...
He looks better now for sure.
Troof bombs.
The dude likes to win games , but he does give a few games away... It's just more obvious nowadays.
Lefty is right... This one is on Pop... horrid subs ution pattern, didn't adjust well the defensive rotations, and waited waaay to long to put Manu in the fourth. It happens, but this on is on him in addition to the players.
Pop doesn't give a damn about the regular season tbh. He's bored.
Pop Huggin Jackson after the game....WTF?
CIA Pop?
He should if he wants homecourt
I'm just disgusted at how Pop handled the line-ups tonight. Patty Mills didn't play the entire 1st and 3rd quarters. Splitter was a s of himself and clearly wasn't ready to play, yet he kept getting opportunities when someone like Baynes (or even Ayers) could have helped tremendously in his place.
Worst of all was Joseph getting so much playing time. We just desperately needed Mills out their in key stretches that Joseph was out there. Very frustrating game to watch. Pop was VERY stubborn tonight.
Yes he does re . That's why he screams at refs every game and calls timeouts 10 seconds after the 2nd half starts. He's just overrated, you bum.
Say that when the Spurs don't have home court advantage in the playoffs. Our starters play the lowest number of minutes of any team in the NBA. Gee... Manu plays 23 min, and Tim less than 28 min. Look, I am not a Pop uber critic, and yes, Pop has lost more basketball knowledge in one nightmare than the collective site combined over the last decade, yada yada, but you piss off important games that are winnable by ing experimenting and... I don't even know what the he was doing tonight TBH.
Prime Duncan TBH
lefty with the goods. Pop is like that tenured professor, he got there with some great work in the past but now thinks he can get away with too much at times. This game was particularly embarrassing. I'll give him credit for the record at this point and the management of minutes, particularly after his mess in the Finals, but still not overly confident about this season. Not yet anyways.
The analogy is perfect because Pop basically has "academic tenure" in the sense that no one would ever fire him. He basically has the job as long as he wants, and does with it as he pleases.
While that is true, it reminds me a lot of Jerry Sloan in Utah... Jazz fans only knew how good they had it once Jerry walked away.
I don't hate on Pop anymore now that Brown and Bud are gone. His 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in command this season all look like a bunch of dumb s. Imagine Ime as our coach next year
This is gonna be as good as it's gonna be, folks.
