The game is televised LOL stern is gonna be pissed
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine
Spurs just announced Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are being rested tonight against Golden State ... with Tony Parker (shin) still out, too.
Ayres will be getting 40 minutes.

Start De Colo. The bench needs Belinelli. Thomas could get minutes at the three/SB4 with Diaw likely starting.
Starting Kawhi on my Fantasy League
Yes! I want to see Malcolm Thomas play.
Patty usually destroys Golden State too.
Uh oh. Substantial sanctions part 2 coming...
De Colo
Green
Leonard
Ayers (sigh)
Splitter
Mills
Belli
Diaw/Thomas
Bonner/Diaw
Baynes
I hope anyway. CoJo and Belli prolly start again and both the offense and defense go to .
Wouldn't be surprised if Stern's one last finger to Pop. and the spurs is a 10 game suspension or something lol
To kill them in mexico didnt go according to plan.
Once again, Popovich giving David Stern the middle finger.![]()
If they lose to OKc again at full strength and rested then we may finally get some real change...
Splitter 22 minutes
Ayres 48 minutes
Leonard 28 minutes
Bellineli 24 minutes
CoJo 24 minutes
Bonner 26 minutes
Green 20 minutes
De Culo 24 minutes
Mills 24 minutes
Diaw (suit)
Baynes (suit)
Thomas (suit)
Realistically, this is good. We can give players like Thomas, Baynes, and Joseph minutes to prove themselves. Mills should start considering he looks like TP9 whenever he plays against Golden State. Ayres might get the start, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Diaw get it either. Thomas should get a few minutes too.
LMAO @ Pop ting all over Stern
Even if you're not a fan of the Spurs, this has to make you smile. Stern. If you're not a Laker or a Heat fan, I don't see how you can like the guy.
just bought tickets to the game before I heard this. Glad they were only $20.
I plan to have some really good seats come March.
No CoJo will start.
Substantial Sanctions happened because he flew the players home. As long as they are sitting on the bench, that Stern isn't gonna do .
Pop about to earn a $500,000 fine from the league. Hope he notified them beforehand
What I don't get is why Pop can't say it long in advance, so that no one loses... What need is there to be all secretive other than the fans?
5th game in 7 nights - I'm willing to bet there will be no fine for this sitting.
Fans of every team hate Stern. Laker fans literally call the Spurs the "San Antonio $terns" because they think Stern helped us win championships due to his relationship with Peter Holt.
Non-laker teams think Stern helps the Lakers because they're a big market team and there's lots of ad revenue on the line.
It's comical and it's all bull .
My guess would be that the Spurs notified the league ahead of time (and probably the Warriors) and got an okay on this decision. Part of Stern's rant last year was that the Spurs hadn't provided those notifications ahead of time, so I doubt they skipped that step this time.
