I say no. the league is flourishing with young talent and all his injuries + age means he won't be able to perform, IMO.

He may still have small value, but his days as a superstar, or even a star are finished.

His style of play is antiquated, tbh..

Slow-paced, posting up on every single play at a position that no longer benefits from posting up, mediocre shooting from 3 and shooting inefficient mid-range jump shots..not to mention being one of the worst defensive wing players in the league, assuming he continues to decline following these injuries..

I doubt he's even going to be in the top 50, tbh..

Frankly, he wasn't a top thirty when he went out. He was a TOSB on his last legs.
    So, what do you think.

Good to have the old fellas back.

Just curious, why all of a sudden? I haven't seen you that often since the Mavs chip.

Dude's market value will remain top3 at least no matter how he plays on the court imho. Kobe's individual ability might still be top 30 of the league but it seems his teammates are always holding him back, or the other way around?

Not really. He's only got China tbh and if in a year he's still irrelevant, China will dump him.

Moreover, Cali has stopped believing with all the mileage and his latest extension.

China is big enough a market to keep his value high imho. They have the world's biggest foreign exchange reserve and their people are stupid enough to continue to hang out around Kobe's even if he sucks 3-4 years in a row. The 7'6 bag retired in 11' (he's been basically done since 09' summer tbh) yet his impact on this team remained strong up to this day. it generally takes s 3-4 times the length of time other people need to realize the same thing, that said, being good at math and hacking ain't no sign of being smart

Yeah but ching was a fellow yellow, so he got a pass for being a TOSB. The bandwagon loving s won't do the same for a black man.

this is why they are so full of when they try to spin 6 as a great moment in basketball...LeBron two-peating pretty much made Kobe irrelevant. Had Duncan gotten 5 the media would still suck up to Kobe and say he is better and the masses would fall in line and Kobe > LeBron would have been easier to sell but LeBron winning changed that narrative.

6 hurt them as much as it hurt Spurs fans.

I humbly disagree with you, Brasky. 7'6 bag once had the largest fan base in China but a good deal of his "fans" were bellwether fans, or to be more accurate, they never even watched basketball until started playing in NBA. Many s only started to watch NBA from 02 onwards to see their yellow hero's performances in NBA, so after 7'6 went down and retired, those "fans" were also evacuated gradually, while most Kobe fans in china are die-hard ones. I know a who was a classmate of mine through all 6 middle-school years, from junior to senior, and loved Kobe so much she would throw a tantrum something right in the classroom if heard someone calling Kobe a "rapist". While everyone else was rooting for the Lockets inside the classroom watching the 04' playoffs on TV (yes we did that stuff a lot back then, and teachers just turned a blind eye to it all), was rooting against the Lockets because their opponents were the Lakers.

Damn, maybe I made a miscalculation. Them yellows are very dedicated and faithful once they bandwagon a player.
