Ray Allen no question
Who would you want to shoot with the game on line tbh? Both great players, both clutch.
Ray. he can be a prick ...but Ray has some final daggers while Miller's best came in the ECF ... and required a push-off (vs. Knicks and Bulls)
Post-6, Ray Ray has the mantle.
I'd say Reggie Miller because he was basically the number 1 option on every Pacers team he was on. Ray Allen was the only number 1 option in Milwaukee and Seattle. Once he started to chase rings in Boston and Miami, he became the 3rd or 4th option. I'd also say that Allen is a chucker and has a bad shot selection. Reggie Miller seemed to take shots that he felt confident when he shot them.
dgaf what "option" he was in your opinion. we're talking about a last second shot here. robert horry was never a #3 option but he's a great last second shot guy
Ray, especially if it was a fast break lay up against Tayshun Prince.
Ray, because he doesn't need the benefit of a clear offensive foul to sink a game-winner.
Ray. Dude has the most versatile 3pt shot and one of the quickest releases ever. Its damn near impossible to block and he shoots it the same way every time. Like a damn freethrow.
3P%:
Allen 40.0%
Miller 39.5%
Allen it is...by half a percentage point.
depending on the context imho. If you need a catch&shooter then Miller would be the better option imho because he's taller but if you need him to dribble one or two steps then you'd better take Allen imho.
Im taking Reggie tbh
was a crazy mofo in the playoffs
25 pts in quarter vs the Knicks
8 pts in 18 seconds vs the Knicks
almost brought down the Bulls in 1998.
Miller was a better leader. He led a team to the Finals as the main man.
did they review that play? doesn't seem like it went off on time, tbh.
ray for the most part cant really create his own shot, he needs to be freed via a screen play of some sort, reggie could make it happen anywhere, just put the ball in his hands.. surprised no one brought that up.
You're right actually. I think it was good during the review though. I recall watching Jimmy Kimmel or some that night and Michael Rappaport was on the show and freaked out during that shot as he watched it backstage. Reggie is a legend in that regards.
I think Kobe is seriously underrated as far as clutch shots go, the problem is he took way too many and the stat # may be lower, but the guy is in clutch.
kobe's made his fair share of clutch shots, but its due to the law of averages. when you attempt so many, you're mathematically going to hit a few. percentage wise he's unremarkable
Reggie miller hand's down. Dude changed rules in the nba. He was feared league wise when the game was on the line and he was the ultimate bag, didnt give a who liked him unlike these clowns these daya. That shot against the nets made the nba implement reviews. Reggie was cold blooded, and he wudve never played 3rd fiddle betraying his boys chasing rings like ray does now
Allen is the better 3pt shooter but Reggie was a ing beast himself. I'll take Allen because he hit a huge shot in the Finals that saved his team and won him a ring.
Allen is faster when coming off a screen.
