That was my initial reaction as well, but then again when Raja Bell nearly tore Kobe's head off no one defended him either. Today's NBA is kind of like that. However, Nick Young was getting bombarded by 4 guys while Pau Gasol backed away.

man...I haven't watched my boys in forever...it made me sad watching that...I felt like jumping through the youtube clip and throwing them bow's along with Swaggy P....this is the pussfication of a team with Gasol as it's leader tbh...
With the Kobe example, I think his teammates just generally dislike him, so they don't step in for him..same with the time Artest got in his face, IIRC..
This with Nick Young was sad, tbh..Swaggy P doesn't have a reputation for being dirty and his reaction was completely warranted, as some scrub threw a dirty forearm at his face for no reason..it would be very difficult to avoid reacting, especially considering the adrenaline from playing in a compe ive basketball game..
It's absolutely pathetic that there wasn't a single Lakers player coming to his defense when there was 4-5 Suns against him..even as a lifetime Lakers hater, it's sad seeing the state of their franchise at the moment, tbh..
There's nothing sad about it, Jim Buss thought he was going to walk in, get a bunch of super stars, win championships and become a legend like his dad. It seemed like it was all going well when they easily got CP3, then when that didnt work and he got D12 and Nash I saw all of the Laker fans sucking his mushroom tip like he accomplished something ( I cant say I wasnt impressed myself).

However, when push came to shove, Jim wants things his way and it DOESNT work. I honestly dont see Laker fans allowing things to go on like this for more than another 2 seasons before they call for Jim's head. 1 thing I know is we dont have much going for us sports wise believe it or not, no one gives a about the Kings, Clippers, and only Mexican's watch the Doyers here.
If Jim doesnt turn it around I can honestly see riots breaking out.

Maybe Nick Young is a duche behind the scenes and nobody likes him.
They're a new group of guys, only a few of them were on the team last year. And losing so many games, there's hardly any chemistry between the players. Kendall Marshall was signed like 3 weeks ago, he barely even knows him. You can't expect him to back Nick up like that.
His teammates don't defend anyone actually, because their coach is M_A.

If he were on the tank/ratio bandwagon, then I could understand coming off the bench and getting suspended. But unlike the rest of the organization and fanbase, MVPau isn't on board with losing on purpose and quitting. He's not a quitter/ratio guy
