It would be heart breaking for the Pats to lose in the Conf Championship game three years in a row, but I feel Manning has more on the line. he'll still be top 5 if he loses, but it would hurt his legacy, and people would call him a regular season qb even more. Even though his D was the reason his colts/broncos lost (most of the time)

As far as legacy, Manning has way more on the line. This is a rare game because if he does win this game and goes on to win the Superbowl, it exercises a lot of his demons and he can ride off into the sunset. People will remember that he 'overcame it all' and retired. If he loses this, then its sealed, he was always Brady's except for that 1 year.

However, there is still a ton on the line for Brady and BB as well. They didnt come this far to lose.

If Manning loses, he's 10-12 in the playoffs with maybe 1 or 2 years left in the league due to his neck(he might not play after this season).

Brady has 5 SBs and 3 rings and a great playoff record, plus the Pats aren't that great of a team this year so they really aren't the favorites to win this game anyways. So even if he loses, it doesn't hurt his career that much, if at all.

If Brady game manages and loses, it wouldn't matter. But if he volume throws like he's done since 2005 and loses, that Montana rivalry is done and dusted.

    Don't see Manning losing though.

Pats haven't (and can't, this year) lost 3 AFC le games in a row. They lost the SB in 2011-12. Manning has much more to both gain and lose by this game.

Yep, Manning. Brady has his, though it's tainted because of Belichick's criminal acts.

Manning, definitely. This Patriots teams is pretty much nothing like it was a year ago, and the fact that they're in the AFC le game is pretty remarkable.

Kind of an unfair question, imo, because Brady has been playing with house money ever since he won the three Super Bowls in his first four years.

You think about it, though, ever since then the Pats have had some bad postseason losses. Three playoff losses at home, the blown 21-3 lead at Indy in the '06 AFCCG, two SB losses as favorites (including when they were undefeated)... Peyton would have been hammered for that kind of track record, tbh.

This is Brady's 9th season since his last SB le. That's longer than Manning went before winning his ring (8 seasons.) Compared to Peyton though, Brady gets kind of a free pass, tbh.
