I guess the positive side of these injuries is that the bench will get more PT and we'll get a better perspective of their potential. Really wanna see some Malcolm Thomas.
He is legit 7 foot, with a huge body and high energy. He may be a bit raw still but he will defend and score 100% better than ayers. And dont even get me started on bonner, who is nothing more than a 6-10 Steve Kerr.
It is brutal to see a huge young 7 foot banger riding the bench while 6-8 ayers is on the floor consistently getting abused

It was pathetic seeing ayers get bullied by adams on the boards. I really don't know why pop would go with ayers over baynes. Can't be for his PnR D cause he was getting wrecked by jackson and company lastnight.
Adams is a lottery draft pick (top 14). Spurs haven't had one of those since Duncan, so have to fill cheap roster spots with scrub free agent projects.
Didn't the spurs get kawhi in the lottery? still though, I don't think baynes would be getting bullied the way ayers was last night.
Want Athletic PF can Block PnR middle shoot .
I thought Baynes would have been useful in the rotation last night.
Ayres has not impressed me this season.
Trade, so doesn't really count. Also, he was the 15th pick and technically only non-playoff teams are in the lottery (top 14).
"He doesn't understand the system. We need....more....guards."
I'd like to see how Baynes would improve with consistent minutes, probably a lot better than Ayres. What harm is there playing him 10 minutes a game, especially with all the injuries. Baynes will probably foul out in 5 anyway, but that's 5 minutes without Ayres or Bonner on the floor.
he looks like he is skilled enough that some serious burn would polish him up and perhaps even get him into the rotation
I truly do feel your pain. I just don't get it, this guy has so much potential and a huge upside in every way. I hate to about. Pop, but i just can't see any justifiable reason to leave this guy languishing on the bench, delaying his development by years. The guy has a great at ude on top of everything else. So frustrating........ go spurs
He got bailed out on some truly awful shots tonight.
Baynes isn't good. Grass is green. (Well, at least any grass outside of Texas.)
Baynes must have done something to not get any minutes. I don't understand it, he's had moment where the ol' sport sucks but then he's had flashes of what could be. Ayres never looks good but at least he's figured out the complicated skill of dunking so that is a plus for the ol' sport. Either way, I don' get the logic of not putting in Baynes or even Nando sometimes.
same here.
Nando, that's another one. He looks so much more confident and comfortable out there than last year, and he's a natural play maker. Sigh, can't blame any of these guys when they eventually go elsewhere, go spurs.
Kerr was clutch, Bonner is choke. Regular-season PT is wasted on Bonner, for in the playoffs all he brings is fear and choke.
Hes getting the Splitter treatment.. he should be getting regular minutes, around 2016..?
in fairness, he's not a legit 7ft.
