http://www.haaretz.com/news/world/1.570292Oxfam International is criticizing Scarlett Johansson over her new ad campaign for an Israeli company that operates in the West Bank.Israeli drink maker SodaStream International Ltd. recently signed the U.S. actress as its first "global brand ambassador." She is to appear in a television ad during the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
SodaStream has come under fire from pro-Palestinian activists for maintaining a large factory in an Israeli settlement in the West Bank.
Johansson has served as a global ambassador for Oxfam since 2005, raising funds and promoting awareness about global poverty.
The humanitarian group said that while it respects the independence of the company's ambassadors, it opposes "all trade" from Israeli settlements, claiming they are illegal and deny Palestinian rights. "We have made our concerns known to Ms. Johansson and we are now engaged in a dialogue on these important issues," it said.
SodaStream machines allow consumers to make their own carbonated drinks at home and add a variety of flavors. Johansson has called her partnership with the company a "no brainer," saying it is a healthy and environmentally friendly product.
Representatives for Johansson did not return messages seeking comment.
SodaStream says its West Bank factory is one of about 25 production facilities worldwide and employs nearly 550 Palestinians and gives them equal benefits as Israeli workers.

Goddess's response to criticism over SodaStream ad
To read more: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/0...n_4661945.htmlWhile I never intended on being the face of any social or political movement, distinction, separation or stance as part of my affiliation with SodaStream, given the amount of noise surrounding that decision, I'd like to clear the air.I remain a supporter of economic cooperation and social interaction between a democratic Israel and Palestine. SodaStream is a company that is not only committed to the environment but to building a bridge to peace between Israel and Palestine, supporting neighbors working alongside each other, receiving equal pay, equal benefits and equal rights. That is what is happening in their Ma’ale Adumim factory every working day. As part of my efforts as an Ambassador for Oxfam, I have witnessed first-hand that progress is made when communities join together and work alongside one another and feel proud of the outcome of that work in the quality of their product and work environment, in the pay they bring home to their families and in the benefits they equally receive.
I believe in conscious consumerism and transparency and I trust that the consumer will make their own educated choice that is right for them. I stand behind the SodaStream product and am proud of the work that I have accomplished at Oxfam as an Ambassador for over 8 years. Even though it is a side effect of representing SodaStream, I am happy that light is being shed on this issue in hopes that a greater number of voices will contribute to the conversation of a peaceful two state solution in the near future.

Superbowl on Feb. 2... can't waitSODASTREAM
Want a sip? The 29-year-old bombs enjoys her homemade soda in a steamy Super Bowl ad.
Touchdown!
SodaStream scored big by nabbing Scarlett Johansson as the star of their sexy Super Bowl commercial.
The 29-year-old beauty professes how she loves "helping people" in the ad that aims to shed some light on an eco-friendly alternative to soda cans.
"Like most actors, my real job is saving the world," ScarJo says at the beginning of the commercial. "Look, a soda that's better for you and all of us."
She's first seen wearing a white robe as she demonstrates just how easy the SodaStream system is to use and describes its health and environmental bonuses, "Less sugar, less bottles."
SODASTREAM
Scarlett Johansson starts out in a cozy white robe to promote SodaStream in their Super Bowl ad.
The PSA quickly turns into a shameless attempt to rouse the viewer as Johansson wonders, "If only I could make this message go viral," before ditching the robe to show off the form-fitting black dress she is wearing underneath.
PHOTOS: SCARLETT JOHANSSON: HER HOTTEST MOMENTS
SodaStream suddenly gets steamy as the music slows and the "Her" actress takes a seductive swig of her drink.
Johansson recently became the company's global brand ambassador for reasons that went beyond her pretty face.
"I have been pushing SodaStream to my family for years," she told People. "I buy it for my friends as housewarming gifts and I have it everywhere I go."
SODASTREAM
Va-va-voom! The 'Her' actress strips down to a black dress in an attempt to make the ad go viral.
She admitted to having it even while she's working in her trailer.
"I have it everywhere just because I love it so much," she added.
Time will tell if people love the ad, airing Feb. 2, as much Johansson admires the product.

"With this Super Bowl commercial, we are presenting a challenge to the American People," SodaStream's CEO Daniel Birnbaum said. "You can make your own soda at home that is better for you and the planet."
SODASTREAM
Scarlett Johansson enjoys SodaStream after being appointed the company's global brand amabassador.
But the actress’ involvement with the brand has caused quite a stir with Oxfam International, an international confederation of 17 organizations working together in more than 90 countries. Johannson has been an ambassador for the charity since 2007, reports The Independent.
However, they are opposed to Johannson working with an Israeli company, which operates a large factory in the West Bank, which is a territory that was captured by Israel in 1967, but claimed by the Palestinians.
“We have made our concerns known to Ms. Johansson and we are now engaged in a dialogue on these important issues,” the charity said in a statement. “Oxfam is opposed to all trade from Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law.”
Still, the charity’s opposition wasn’t enough for Johannson to jump ship from SodaStream.
“I remain a supporter of economic cooperation and social ineraction between a democratic Israel and Palestine,” she told The Huffington Post in a statement Friday.
She also made it clear that she “never intended on being the face of any social or political movement, distinction, separation or stance.”![]()
dude noone cares shut the up
Not a good thing to dis big corporate America...
This year's ad features actress Scarlett Johansson expounding about the advantages of SodaStream over other carbonated beverages (cough, Pepsi, Coke, cough). At the conclusion of the tongue-in-cheek ad, Johansson turns to the camera and says, "Sorry, Coke and Pepsi.
IDK a about all that but if you're trying to carbonate Jews' blood for consumption , I can't think of a better machine.
tbh our goddess looked horrible in this pic (by her own standard, of course), especially her eyes which looked so bland, dim and faint as though she was drinking meth rather than SodaStream. I blame the ty makeup though, makes her look 10yrs older than her age tbh.
^ your countryman, that serial killer & class-1 cuckold named Romain Dauriac definitely does, tbh.
Like I give a about romain Dauriac, without you I would never have heard of this French doing your girl ass
She ain't my girl bro. She's my, oh no... she's our GODDESS

that's an ugly ass picture. I predict she's not going to age well. She'll look like Mrs. Howell in a few years.
sad but true brosmoking is ruining her look tbh. She's still our goddess anyways, nonetheless, and will forever be
