no.
According to Hoops Hype, Memphis is looking to ship him off once they can land a backup point guard in free agency. The rumors have been that he and James Posey would go to Miami for Eddie jones. Now, they are saying that Jason Williams would most likely be traded, but that Eddie Jones would just be cut and not involved in the Miami trade. Would you guys like "white chocolate" as a back up for tony or keep Beno and see if he develops?
You ain't writin nothin', Homeboy!
Remember that. No thanks. We don't need a headcase. Beno is young and up and coming. J-Will is slowly reaching the twilight of his career at 30.
What, you don't think that after 7 years in the NBA and being 30 years old, that he has reached his pinnacle? I do![]()
No I don't like the notion of Jason for Beno. Williams jacks up some pretty wild stuff. When he makes it, usually early offense, it's a good thing but when he misses...his long rebounds lead to fast breaks back the other way and at the very worst times of games. There is a reason Earl Watson closed out quarters besides his scoring abilities. Jason makes odd and impulsive decisions. No thanks.
I believe that Pop could probably reign Williams in well enough, but he's on his way down, and Beno's on his way up. Usually if you bring in a veteran PG it's because they bring in maturity or leadership with them. Williams would be a rebuilding project.
I really think JW has become more calm being in the NBA for a while now. When he first came in he was playing like he stepped of the And 1 tour bus. I still dont think he would fit into the spurs style offense, and he does still make some poor decisions on fast breaks. So no I dont think Beno for JW would benefit us at all.
I meant to say he's not getting any better. He was invisible in the playoffs. At least early in his career he was getting his teammates involved. With he current team, he's almost lost. He still jacks up threes now, but now it has become intolerable because he does nothing else. If he makes them, he's good player but when he misses he's beyond horrible. His defense isn't much to mention either.
If the salaries were the same I'd consider it.
Anyone who wanted to see Pop stroke out would vote yes.
Not in a million years. Do you imagine Pop face if somebody ask him...?
Why does this guy remind me of GiG?![]()

twins??
beno = milkybar kid > white chocolate
No never. I have never liked Jason Williams because he seems to put himself before the team.
Ok, I'll consider it.
...
Now that I've considered it, my answer is NO.
Me too. Actually, I'd more than consider it. I'd do it if the salaries were the same. He has an awesome assist-to-turnover ratio these days.If the salaries were the same I'd consider it.
But do you think he could control that "launching a three on a fastbreak" problem? If he just did what he is suppose to do and be a pointguard no problem, but being the offense I have a problem.
I would actually think long and hard about this one if it were possible. He is a great passer when he wants to be. As a backup? I would probably lean more towards yes. It would take a lot of convincing though. He is a risk and in business you have to take risks. Beno should be on his way up, but are you sure he will progress or just thinking he will. We don't know what we have in Beno right now. J-Will at least has proven he can play in the NBA. I am not saying that they need to do it. Just giving my opinion.
