What do you guys really expect him to average when the big three get the majority of plays called for them? This is not a bashing thread.. but averaging 12 a game is very, very solid for a fourth option - AND being on a team where everyone gets looks.

When TD and Manu retire, Kawhi will average prolly around 17-19 ppg if Tony is still around.

    Vent over.

I'm not sure I agree with this one. Just my 2 cents here >>

With the big 3 hitting a serious drop-off this year, this team was ripe for one of the younger players to step up their game offensively. The most gifted in this regard and therefore logical choice for the job should have been Leonard but for whatever reason (Pop's lack of playcalls? Leonard's timidity?.. hard to say, probably a combination of both but not relevant to this particular argument) he hasn't been able to fulfill the role. Instead, the void is being filled by other players. It has so far been mainly the bench guys Mills & Bellinelli but Green really stepped it up last night. There's still more room for someone else to step up. Leonard could be that guy, when he returns. To do that however he definitely needs to stop pouting about his lack of touches and start winning back the confidence of his teammates. He has to realize he isn't going to be winning a scoring le anytime soon with the plethora of options the spurs have but there is room to improve. I would like to see him elevate his game to the level where he can be the goto guy and carry the spurs on his back for a game or 2 every now and then, and have occasional 25-30 point outbursts. If Green and his limited skillset can do it, Leonard should have no problem at all.

    "Leonard's timidity"?

lol wut. Dude put up 19/16 in game 7 of the NBA finals. Quite literally the opposite of "timid."

Kawhi steps up in big momentsPERIOD
