wait, didn't we trade Paul George for Kawhi?
Threw in a game tying 3 near the end of regulation and got to the line 12 times, just like the old Hill used to do. Yes it was a double overtime game, but still... WOW! Not bad numbers for a guy who everyone claims is "not a point guard".

Hill and West P&R was pretty much unstoppable. Hill even ran it with Granger for a bucket or 2. I remember when all the Hill haters said Hill couldn't run the P&R. What do you say now es?

Tbh I miss Hill, but the Spurs wouldn't be contenders without Leonard. For the record, I was against the Hill-for-Leonard trade at the time.
Hill is averaging 3.4apg in 31.4mpg. That's awful for a point guard and his lack of playmaking ability is the main reason why Indiana is a below average offensive team.
Lets be real here, Hill isn't a PG and never will be. He's an elite 6th man and unless he's being utilized in that way he'll never reach his potential. For what Indy is using him for he's doing a pretty good job.
Well I think Hill took his first steps to correcting this problem last night after helping Indiana outscore the highest scoring team in the league with Hill assisting 8 guys, mainly on the P&R, all with with their "superstar" Paul George shooting an abysmal 5-23.
Sure, one game means the world compared to the 450 games he played before...
Everyone learns at their own pace. I wouldn't call Hill's development fast by any means, but point guards do take awhile to get the necessary skills. He's only going to get better and better the longer he plays. Remember when folks used to complain how he couldn't run the P&R?
Haters gonna keep hatin'. Keep bringing dem takes, haters.
Let's post these numbers side by side his next game.....not hating by the way.
Hill had a nice game but that doesn't make him a PG all of a sudden. He never was and never will be,
lol did George send those pics to you or what? Get his out of your mouth dude, nothing of what Rob said was being a "hater." I didn't realize pointing out a player's limitations and suggesting he would excel off the bench but is doing a good job nonetheless was considered "hating."

He had a heck of a game, but it doesn't represent how he has been playing the whole season.
I saw way more simple Pick and Pop plays than P&Rs. West's mid-range was pretty much unstoppable last night.
Quite honestly, I will never regret trading Hill for Kawhi Leonard.
He learned? He's been gone for almost 3 years.
George Hill, for all his limitations, was a terrific developing player. THe price to pay to get a better talent like Leonard. Always held that the trade wasn't as lopsided as made out to be. There was no other way to get the Pacers to give up Leonard and the Spurs haven't been hurt with the loss of Hill necessarily. He has been a great addition to the Pacers, of course. It is no wonder that Pop just loved him so much (and so did Manu, on the record).
Hill is an undersized SG playing PG. His attempts to play natural PG are very mechanical, and the Pacers suffer when he tries to fit into this role. If this wasn't evident before, it was even more glaring last year in the Heat series. He's far more effective when he just plays towards his strengths. Lance Stephenson is a better distributor than Hill tbh. And it was intelligent allowing Lance to slide into this role more prominently. A few eye popping games isn't going to change the fact that he is what he is. it would be better for the team if he continues to play selectively aggressive offensively, that's who he is. Hill is a good defender when he's not up against taller, stocky, stoutly built players. He just doesn't have the body strength to truly disrupt them.
Kawhi is better in the playoffs.
You do know it's possible for someone to learn how to effectively do something, right?
I swear, you people on here talk to each other like it's impossible for these players to change.
Anyways, I've always liked George Hill, so I'm glad he had an amazing game.
Hill isn't a PG, but , the way TP plays, he isn't either. Tony is much more shoot first than Hill but at least Hill can drain a 3, spread the floor, and play solid defense.
Dumbest post ever...
lol Are you a blind tony homer? Are you going to tell his FIBA awards mean too?
For the record, pacers gave up pick #15, not necessarily Leonard. They are already stacked at SF, whereas the spurs have seemingly been trying to find a good one for years. I'm not ing about that trade, who would? Spurs got a position of need and so did the pacers. I just think its funny people on here still bleat like a bunch of sheep that Hill can't play the position of point guard when its clear they all have their own definition of what a point guard is, as evidenced by the last few posters. I love elementos simpflication too, as if Hill just fed West all night and didn't pour in 37 points himself. Like I said before, haters gonna keep hatin'.
