Help "Spur Out" Heart Disease & Stroke

    www.nba.com/spurs/communi...40908.html

"I had a good run as the Coyote," said Derk. "I left it all on the table. I danced on the ceiling, I jumped through fire and I managed to avoid wearing long pants for 48 years. Prior to my stroke I had no idea how many people I'd touched as the Coyote."

Tim Derk is being honored at this year's Heart Walk for the American Heart Association and is greatly involved in many activities the day of the event.

The Heart Walk is on Saturday, September 18, at Retama Park. Not only will Tim be speaking during the opening ceremonies and greeting heart and stroke survivors in the Red Cap Survivors Tent, but he also plans to run the 5K event!

The American Heart Association's online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you prefer to donate less, you can do so by making a check out to American Heart Association and mailing directly to the Spurs:

    San Antonio Spurs
    One SBC Center
    San Antonio, TX 78219

Your donation will help fight our nation's No. 1 and No. 3 killers-heart disease and stroke. You are making a difference. Thank you for your support
