at this story... sounded like a ing fairy tale.
Do you guys really buy he was quietly killed in the night, dumped in the sea, and no proof of pictures or anything? I heard several world leaders said Osama had died years ago and this was a relection move by the Obama admin. I've also heard it was to make the American people feel that there was a 'purpose' for the trillions spent for the war.
I am not sure what happened, but just curious what some of you think? I am confident he is dead but not so sure it was done so in that manner. How the could Osama have been hiding in a gigantic fort in Pakistan all these years but a named Ray Ray gets found in 5 minutes in Compton?
I just find it odd they didn't post any pictures in 'fear' of retaliation. Wouldn't killing Osama be cause for retaliation? This is the same government that released pics of Saddam dead as well as his sons.
I believed it initially, I'm not big on conspiracy theories. I completely expected a photograph and I assumed the photograph would be debated as 'real or fake' etc. When Obama admin said they'd release a photo soon then 'after much discussion and consideration, we realized we have to set a better example"... please.

Yeah, when they killed a high ranking rebel fighter in Iraq, Zarqawi or something, they paraded pictures of his body to the media.. etc. This whole bin laden theory is hilarious at this point.. the tape of him watching himself, it didnt look anything like him, he literally looks different in all the tapes released.
The entire experience was shady and just proof that Governments dont give a about its people.

The sea thing though, isn't new... burying him on the ground would basically create a shrine for his fanbois, and so governments avoid that. Same happened with Hermann Göring, who was cremated and his ashes thrown away in some river, IIRC. But cremation is forbidden by Islam, so this was probably the second best option.

the government had a good reason to not reveal any graphic details of the action that killed Laden imho. The fear of retaliation was part of the reason, but the bigger concern would be the possible controversy and opprobrium arising from those Muslims countries if those pics were leaked out (like those pics of Sadam being sent to the scaffold)

what was su ious about the crash? I see Chaffetz and Fox and House Repugs were fabricating another false scandal for their paranoid, ignorant base, but beyond that?
There are "several world leaders" who deny the holocaust. Not sure I would use that as a metric to figure out what to believe or not.
Bin Laden had money, discipline, followers willing to die to protect him, and hid in a section of the developing world that the West really doesn't have much access to, none of which would apply to "Ray Ray" from Compton.
Given the way the vast numbers of uneducated dolts in the muslim world went bonkers over a few cartoons of mohammed, I can definitely see why not putting out pictures of a splatified martyr might be a good thing to do.
I would lastly point out that it was the Iraqi government that put out pictures of Saddam after his death, and no one in the world gave a about the psychopaths that Saddam fathered.

Meh. I have little reason to doubt the account. If it really didn't happen that way, a secret like that is bound to get out eventually from a participant with an attack of conscience.

Some might say that the story of Obama bin Laden being turned dead had to happen in order for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to end....Since very few people actually knew what Osama really looked like....I could see the possibility of a con..but Osama would have to already be dead...
