    which brand do I buy? MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS... all reputable brands imo, anyone have any strong opinions?

    Definitely EVGA. Best warranty, great customer service.

    The 750 Ti is a little on the weak side, why not save up some more cash and at least go for the 760? Speeds are comparable to the 670 for about a bill more.

    How thoughtful of you to conserve energy

    Seriously though, all the brands you mentioned are good, but I prefer EVGA for the reasons mentioned above. EVGA is good with returns, they will send you out a new GPU without having received the faulty one yet, and they also have the "Step Up" program that will let you exchange your GPU for the next generation version if it launches within a certain timeframe of your purchase.
