Saw an interesting article on Bleacher Report about Deng maybe getting traded, and one of the first teams they hypothesized about him getting traded to was the Spurs.. in which they said Danny Green was a good starting piece.

Green's stock has plummeted this year, but he's still hitting 39.8% from three. They both can defend. Would you trust Belinelli/Ginobili to take over at SG if it meant having a great back-up off the bench at SF?

No, I wouldn't since it would be illegal under the cap rules.

No, you don't sell low if you can help it and the Kawhi/Splitter combination already struggles due to spacing issues, if you part with a shooter for another brick layer then the offense is really gonna take a dive...

The Spurs don't have the contracts to make a Deng trade work(ones that they would part with, obviously).

As much as I love Deng, it doesn't make sense to bring him here.

Now that Shumpert is injured, seems like the best course of action. Plus, the team can keep Diaw.
