Scarlett Johansson has insisted she does not see herself as a role model and is not comfortable with the tag.

The actress, 29, made the comments in her first interview since she stepped down as an Oxfam ambassador last month over her links with SodaStream, an Israeli company operating in the occupied West Bank.
Oxfam opposes all trade from Israeli settlements, saying they are illegal and deny Palestinian rights. Johansson said she had a “fundamental difference of opinion” with the charity and kept her role as brand ambassador at SodaStream.

In the interview, with Dazed magazine, she did not address the issue directly but said: “I don’t see myself as being a role model; I never wanted to step into those shoes. I don’t profess to know more or less than anybody else. If that’s a by-product of whatever image is projected on to me I don’t feel responsible as an artist to give anyone that message. It’s not my jam.

How could I wake up every day and be a normal person if I was completely aware that my image was being manipulated on a global platform. How could I sleep?
“You have to have peace of mind. You’ve got to be able to protect those things. How else could you exist? You’d go crazy, anybody would go crazy.”

Johansson also described how the popularity of smartphones means she often encounters over-zealous fans trying to take her picture.
She said: “Now it’s crazy with iPhones and social media. There are moments where I’m like, ‘What do you want? You gonna sit there with your cameraphone and photograph me for this whole meal? Like, really? What, were you raised in a barn?’ There are still moments like that where I go, ‘Oh my God, people are unbelievable!’ ”

What I respect most in people is naturalness and authenticity. I like to be able to see into their soul. I aspire to being a truthful person.

Rogue, when will you team up with me and write the screenplay for Scoop 2 or Lost in Translation?

I'm currently focused on articles tbh, hoping to get some of them published which, if coming true, would help me a lot in the job market. I've even stopped writing the "goddess series" tbh.

the screenplay of Scoop is really a ty one by grandpa Woody's standard imho. Lost in Translation is classic but I'm really out of ideas what type of an ending would be best for that film. Maybe no ending is the best ending for it imho. Goddess and Bob Harris both had their own families in the film so it'd be extremely difficult to maintain a longterm relationship between them imho.

I wrote a total of 6 Goddess novels last year and I'm really out of thoughts, bro if you had any good ideas or innovations I'd be extremely glad to work with you. I know there're some periodicals/journals publishing original screenplays written by students and fans. I ain't deluding you into thinking that writing those s would help us get famous anytime soon but at least it'd be a good chance for us to practice writing, and a chance to add some length to our resumes.

If there's anything I've learned from writing the "Goddess series", the first has to be that before even starting your work you have to ensure that there'll be people willing to read it, imho. Even our Shadowflames hasn't read my novels, I'm afraid

You wouldn't write a sequel to Scoop? I'm disappointed. I would love a sequel just to see her in that sexy red one piece swimsuit again.

No swimming suit can cover up the cellulites, nonetheless. You can write a sequel to Scoop and get her back in that red swimming suit, but you'd never get the young Goddess back

Rogue, you alright? That last post sounded like you were really upset about her appearance. Isn't that an old picture anyways? Hasn't she been getting in shape for the Avengers movies too?

Goddess still has the world's prettiest face but she's been gaining too much weight (in the forms of both fat and muscle) in recent years. She once said she worked out like a guy, maybe it was the avengers movie that required her to do so but I guess it's hard for a man to be a fan of sturdy es imho. It's her face that makes her so special to us, just as my Jacob put it: she's the one that every man wants, and that every wants to be
