You know I was against even thinking of MWP coming here but actually it could be beneficial. If he can board, and be a defensive threat than why not? Maybe bring some grit and toughness. Cannot measure what he did in NYK country cause well they suck.

Funny. You remind me of those "basketball fans" that assume because someone was good 8 years ago, they are equally good today. You probably thought Tracy McGrady was a big signing last year. The only reason why you want to sign Artest is because of what he did in the past. He hasn't been good in how long? So who's living in the past? Forget that Artest admitted to having a mental illness, which makes him liable to go off the reservation at any minute. He can't shoot threes and he is too slow to guard Lebron and Durrant, so that's why the Spurs have no interest.
The point is that as of now we still have a spot available. Ther's anybody out there possibly better than MWP ?
I don't buy that the FO will go to the play offs with only 14 spots covered.
I would take Jamison over MWP. Jamison can still shoot and he can guard 4s. He fits into the small ball lineup. He's old, and not optimal, but I'm much more comfortable with him at the 4 than Artest.
MWP might be done but I think he's still capable. I'm in for the Spurs to sign him.

MWP aint coming to be a hero. Thats not what we're looking for. He would just be a sub for a young sf with bad knees. I know basketball, an yes I love players that use to be good that's not scared of the moment! I bet TMac wouldn't have came up short like Danny Geeen in game 7 if giving a chance!!! A serviceable 10 to 15min sf is what MWP would be. Nothing more nothing less.
