Since we didn't get a buy out player, nor did we keep Shannon Brown.
Do the spurs look elsewhere to fill the 15th roster spot?
If so, who?
Look at the Toros for your answer.
If they don't sign some NBA retread, they'll start auditioning D-Leaguers. If they are really looking for a small/combo forward, some candidates could be Devin Ebanks, James Nunally. Chris Wright or Shawne Williams. Maybe Courtney Fells gets a shot from the Toros, or Josh Howard if he's healthy.
Could as well be pinned to the top now as this is the only remaining question...
Deshaun Thomas is a 6"7 Gary Neal, not sure if there's a real point of signing him when the bench is already pretty weak defensively...
Royce White hasn't been signed last I heard, he worked out for the Kings a few days ago, extreme headcase but the talent level is the highest available basically, not sure they'd want a possible distraction for the 15th spot tho.... Could be very interesting if they finally decide to start Boris tho...

Word on the street is that Ben Gordon is being bought out...
I'd like Josh Howard despite his issues. Always liked the guy.
i love that you brought up royce white and deshaun thomas. i bet it'll be a d leaguer though.
He was waived a day late, isn't eligible for the playoffs. Basically, his team screwed him over (like they felt he did to them).
Too bad this guy isn't available:
Bowen looked good in the AS celebrity game...
Maybe we can resign retired Steve Kerr.
I've heard Allen Iverson might be available...
Maybe Peter Holt can charter a bus for him to take to OKC / Houston for playoff games? Pretty useless against everyone else. And a 2-2-1-1-1 format in playoff series (including the finals) is a lot less conducive to avoiding air travel.
I know he is a cry baby, but I heard Rudy Fernandez wanted to make a comeback to the NBA...
you guys are all delusional. Spurs already have their answer and found it last year:
Spurs don't need a pitcher.
I honestly think Tracy could have done something, if nothing else be a great playmaker, if given minutes in the finals.
Always helps to have two quality pitchers tbh.
Wright looks good against the toros today. Hitting some threes.
I said it before, but I would bring in Shawne Williams. While he doesn't hit the 3 consistently, he has shown the ability to make some and he has legit size and is a plus defender. I don't know if the prior baggage will turn the Spurs off though
I'd take the best defensive SF available that is 6-7 or taller. Nothing else really matters. No one would be allowed to help otherwise.
