Tales of Kevin McHale’s Hilarious ‘Coaching’
by Marcel Mutoni
As if Minnesota T-Wolves fans hadn’t suffered enough, but now the guy from the front-office who absolutely botched the last, oh, decade and some, is in charge of leading the troops into battle from the sidelines.
If you’re expecting things to improve, I’d like you first to listen to Anthony Carter’s stories, a man who played for coach McHale a few years ago.
From the Rocky Mountain News:
“It was a learning experience,” said Carter. “He didn’t really know all the X’s and O’s, but he had a good assistant coaching staff that was helping him out with a lot of plays. He kind of let us run whatever we wanted.”
“He was trying to draw plays, and it was like a little Etch and Sketch. Like a kid just messing around… He just gave the clipboard to the assistant coaches sometimes.”
Why do I get the feeling this is precisely the same way that Michael Jordan runs the Bobcats?
McHale, who Etch-A-Sketched his way to the first of many losses last night, will attempt to prove to Anthony Carter and the rest of the Nuggets that he can actually draw a play all by himself tonight in Denver.
As for you Wolves fans, you poor bas s, better hope the assistant coaches bought extra markers. It could be a long rest of the season.

Not sure if this was a "axe" to grind. I think McHale is ty but not THIS ty.
Either way it is a BIG part of why I was so confident that a team with a super duper star (durant) and a all-star sidekick (westbrook) or the better coached teams (Heat/Spurs and maybe Indy) there is NO way they lose to Houston. CLips should beat them too but Im just a notch short of confident on that one too. Clips should win a seriesl but the Clips defense has been inconsistent. At it's best it S on the Rox defense but They are just as inconsistent as Houston ...and I am not sure Paul is 100%.

He's being set up so when Howard comes for him he'll do it thru the au es of Harden who will be escorted by local as well as national Media out of NYC. It'll be so clean McHale won't even know what happened to him cept when the checks quit coming every 2 weeks.
The kicker? They'll have do the same thing again, and again, and again...
Nice try. Been saying he couldn't coach even before Howard got here.
My point has nothing to do with that. He's a fine coach. It's just that he's coaching assholes who have no more respect for him than they'll have for the next asshole in the line.
Sorry Dale, but that's a take.... all McFail knows is iso plays and forcing it in the post (even though they are dead-last in the league in points per possession on post-up plays, clearly showing how it's not working)...
I will give you that it doesn't help when both Harden and Dwight are difficult to coach...
You mean like Kobe had for D'antoni, Brown, and Tomjonavich?
1st round fodderDH is soon crying for a trade again tbh
How's Calderon working out my nig?
Jose Calderon:

Rogue, tbh, even if that unlikely scenario happened it wouldn't be as bad as letting a great player like Dirk waste his years with chuckers like Monta.
Jose shoots more and even with better efficiency but how come Rin averages more points than Jose Calderon? the answer is FOODSTAMPS, imho.
3 More years of Jose.
your yellowman is a scrub you don't have no material to rebut that, djohn.
Monta has been very good for stretches. Live in DFW now, he has really curtailed his shot chucking tendencies.
RC coaches circles around McHale too bad he doesnt have enough talent. Carter has been good as well but they lack enough inside on both ends ...big Daddy Tyson is STILL missed 3 years later ...
Wow...a hating . WTF?![]()
Yea not nearly as bad, but I don't see the Mavs going anywhere with him. They're barely making the playoffs right now which is pretty sad considering they won it all in a couple of years ago.
Thats because their 2011 run was a fluke
Stupid mav fans blaming Tyson Chandler for going from a championship to an 8th seed team
It was a fluke, plain and simple.
A softie like Dork is never going to win again, he's lucky that the stars alligned for him that one time.
yellows were all born maudlin and it's an instinct of them to hate each other, that's why s like Nanking massacre happened tbh.
To be fair they are the Rox of last year tbh ...Add Tyson or Dwight to anchor the paint they are this year's Rockets ...with a better coach.
