Fans have been looking for some new sounds and cheers for the games to supplement the old and dated Go Spurs Go. All of us have seen the commercial with the recurring chant of: HARD WORK WORK! HARD WORK WORK! as a background for the necessary dedication of professional athletes.
This would be a neat chant by our fans. It perfectly describes our team ethos of 'pounding the rock'. It could really buck up the team when they need to be reminded of what it takes to be their best and keep pounding the rock.
Imagine thousands of fans shouting this out in support of the Silver & Black when they need a lift. It'd Be neat to have the Spurs sound system put it on in game situations to encourage the fans to participate.
What do y'all think? How would we get it started?

Yes I do. The next test focused on that lecture and they all failed it.
The problem, my friend, is that San Antonio is made up mostly of people who wont do anything they don't deem cool. The only way for something like that to happen would be for the PA announcer to get it going, or a city-wide campaign. Even for something to happen organically, it would have to be easier to implement. That cadence is a military cadence that has a lot more to it, so rhythmically there are spaces that don't roll off the tongue as easily as "Go Spurs Go".With that chant, there's only one beat in between "Go Spurs Go", and the following "Go Spurs Go". With "Hard Work Work", you have about 3 beats in between each iteration. Again, it could work, but you'd need something really cool to fill the three beats (in the Army, we'd have the cadence caller yelling about waking up at 4am or other such nonsense while the unit would just repeat "Hard Work Work"), and you'd need the PA announcer to implement.
It's a great idea, but you have people like the above poster who would just sneer because they're too cool for it to be a grass roots movement. Then again, I don't know the future. If you can figure something out, I'm in.
Hahahahahahahaa
Hard Work Work is ing stupid.
what's this garbage? don't want that music or clown anywhere near our beloved Spurs!
you obviously haven't seen the commercial where I picked up the Hard work work refrain. It has nothing to do with this guy.
Sometimes, it's better to reflect for a minute or two before hitting 'Post Quick Reply'
Hard work work just doesn't flow off the tongue very smoothly, although It might make for a great Viagra/Cialis commercial jingle.
I'd rather just change the chant a little. Instead of "Go Spurs Go" lets just say "Spurs YAY" "Spurs YAY" in a Crank Yankers special ed kind of vocal intonation.
"SPURS YAY" " SPURS YAY"
I like it already!
Cool, inspiring chant, I just don't think the Spurs would do it. But considering SA's a military town, who knows.
I Hate that commercial...and this is terrible, terrible idea that will never, ever catch on...you should have never posted this, everyone is now a little dumber for having read it...may god have mercy on your soul
Looks Like Gatorade won the jingle contest:
