like this from Stevenson is the reason the Pacers will not beat the Heat in the playoffs. All these antics of players will not help you beat the best player in the world when he gets mad. The Spurs fared so well in against the Heat because of their execution and the fact that they gave the Heat players no reason to be mad at them ...

The Pacers went 7 games with a much fresher Heat, they need zero pointer from the Spurs on how to beat them...
Also look at Wade being helpless in the ECF vs Stephenson and look at him in the Finals, listing Stephenson as a reason they'd lose is ridiculous...

I'm not someone who is normally in favor of needlessly antagonizing anyone... but you also can't go into a game scared of making someone mad. As soon as you start altering your style, personality, etc. because you're "afraid to antagonize" someone, they're in your head.
I also have issues with the fundamental assumption that pissing someone off (especially in the playoffs, and expecially if they are the so-called best-player in the world) is going to somehow make them care more about beating you. Players like that will be trying their hardest already. And maybe it pisses them off and makes them lose their cool and play worse, or become more of a ballhog and throw their team off. Bowen was a master of this. So was Rodman (I remember him driving Malone crazy). Guys like that don't get "scared of antagonizing" anyone.
Bottom line, play your game, and let others respond how they will.
