The '05 Spurs were better than the '04 Spurs, and it took the Lakers a miracle shot to get past the '04 Spurs. Do the math.
If it was 04 Lakers vs 05 Spurs who would have the advantage and who would win? I would pick the Spurs with the talent and rising backcourt and all the things they lacked in the previous year. This is assuming had the 04 Lakers of stayed together BTW.

'05 Spurs would for sure beat the '04 Lakers.
This has to be a no brainer...
No question the spurs would win, as long as the officiating was only slightly on la's side. What pissed me off in the 04 series was every time the spurs would go on a run the lakers would get some phantom calls and they let the dirtman get away with the same the wallaces got away with in the finals, the pull the guy from behind and swat the ball away.
There was no hedo on 05 team, 05 team better than 04. Manu more experienced is one example. 05 team wou win.
Depends on where Game 7 would be played:
If it's in SA, Spurs in 7.
If it's in LA, Lakers in 7.
difference is manu and nazr.
That's quite ALOT...
Manu is unstoppable and Rasho=sucked.
