I know theres a lot of cliff jumpers right now but it was basically the exact same situation with Golden State last year with SA stealing game 1 and Golden State blowing out game 2
this time though it was basically all just turnovers
Mavs are protecting the ball at an all time NBA level while the Spurs are just throwing it to them for easy fast break points
if they turn it over half the amount and their good free throw shooters hit their free throws it wont be a contest tbh..

Best 3 out of 5 now, I don't see how the Mavs can win three more but I've been wrong before. Much rather would have this stinker of a game now than in a subsequent series where there's less room for error.
All this means is we have to win at least once on the road now.
Why so early? Couldn't you just wait until Saturday?
We've done it twice this season. We were the best road team. I think we'll be fine. We won't turn the ball over so much and we won't shoot that bad again. Leonard will play better.
Spurs lose this series. Calling it now. Guard play too much for Spurs. Monta too quick for Kawhi. Harris has gone off twice on the road, should play better at home. Mills and Marco are terrible defensive players and worthless when they're not hitting shots. Has Dirk had a Dirk type game yet? Look for Pop to panic and start Manu in Game 4. Our interior defense is also a joke.

Giving a Mavericks team life with a pre-season effort in a playoff game.
A focused Spurs team will win the next three games, but damn you have to wonder if they are engaged enough to do that.
Hopefully the Spurs can get a grade A effort on Saturday.
I don't think the Mavericks are consistent enough to put together another 48 minute performance like this.
20+ turnovers gives you little to no chance of winning.......
Basically everything that can go wrong for the Spurs did go wrong.

Leonard hardly played tonight - he was awful and committed silly, useless fouls. He wasn't out there to defend Ellis or anyone else for a lot of the game.
If SA cuts their TOs in half and shoots 75-80% from the line, they'll be OK.
When a team plays probably one of the 2 or 3 worst games they've played all season, it does not look good at this moment.
I think the TOs were more due to the Spurs being exceedingly sloppy with the ball and not some huge improvement in defense by Dallas.
The Coaching Staff needs to emphasize ball security the next couple of days.
The Spurs will win a couple of games in Dallas. They just pissed away this game big time.

If I don't see a new SA team then for the first time I'll be ashamed of my Spurs. Tonight was awful, Tim has always been the face of superstars and leaders since the MJ era, and tonight he looked like neither. My favorite athlete ever, but his body language tonight was just plain bad. Parker better get his head out of his butt and this team better figure out how they play like they did during that long winning streak, because if they don't drastically improve, the only championship they will have this season is the regular season championship which only means something to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
