Even though the Mavs are switching everything, Manu attacks the switch immediately and aggressively off the P&R with Splitter still rolling to the hoop. Manu can finish with a big guy guarding him, and is a great P&R passer to both the roller and any shooters spacing the floor.

The problem with Tony Parker is that when the Mavs switch on the P&R with Duncan, he doesn't attack it. He gets the switch of Dalembert or Wright and instantly pulls out to run ISO with the 'mismatch'. This lets Dallas' defence reset, and Parker simply doesn't have the length or the head of steam to finish inside. He also doesn't have the legs or the range to shoot. Parker isn't a natural passing playmaker. Parker's great against teams who go under the P&R and doesn't switch because he can get a head of steam running towards the hoop. Carlisle's forced him to pull out and try to reset and play 1 on 1 on a big, or make a post entry pass to exploit the guard guarding our big. Very stagnant offence and Parker doesn't space the floor for the post up man (Duncan / Kawhi)

Carlisle has been exposed. More Manu & Splitter aggressive and fast P&R. Less Parker & Duncan reset to ISO / Post P&R.
