I think this is clearly on Sterns watch. Stern decided he would personally with the Lakers in order to save the Clipper Franchise. Stern had the knowledge and history of Donald Sterling and yet he personally decided he wanted to gift to CP3 Sterling knowing full well this man's history. Tried to over the Lakers and now Stern is left with this legacy you can't put this on Silver.
For example:
Sterling said to Danny Manning's face, "I'm offering a lot of money for a poor black kid." It is reported that he also said this in front of Stern.
Now this one is something I might do:According to testimony of a former employee, says "all the blacks in this building, they smell, they're not clean," and "all of the Mexicans that just sit around and smoke and drink all day."
In June of 2006 Sterling promised $50 million to build the “Donald T. Sterling Homeless Center” in downtown Los Angeles, a state-of-the-art complex that, in Sterling’s words from his LA Times announcement/ad, was intended to “educate, rehabilitate, provide medical care and a courtroom for existing homeless” (the italics are Sterling’s addition, for some reason). The only problem? It still hasn’t been built. The lot currently sits vacant.Pledges $50 million to provide services for Los Angeles homeless; never delivers.
This is why secret recordings are needed.
A jury unanimously voted in March of 2011 to reject the lawsuitSued by Elgin Baylor for employment discrimination.
Blacks are so damn sensitive. Sterling doesn't like blacks. Get over it and move on with your life homie.
I bet Sterling and Stern share a lot of the same beliefs. They're both in the inner circle.
naw homie...my feelings are hurt and I might even see if there's a basis for a class action lawsuit that I can participate in....I ain't got my acre and a mule yet....![]()

I recall that Mark Cuban stopped that trade. Wasn't he going to sue the league if LA got CP3.
At the time of the trade the league owned New Orleans and Cuban said he would not
sign off on making LA better than the MAV's.....
That would be so cool if in front of that jersey Stern is holding it said "my butt"
I went back and looked at the proposed Lakers-Rockets-Hornets trade and what they actually got from the Clippers. Both trade proposals included the Hornets taking back junk, but the rejected trade would have gotten them Goran Dragic, Kevin Martin and a first-round pick. The trade that went through got them Eric Gordon and the pick that turned into Austin Rivers.
So Dragic and Martin or Eric Gordon and Austin Rivers?
In addition the Lakers would have had to give up Gasol and Odom. Odom at the time was coming off a 6th man of the year award and Gasol for most of his career has been an All-Star caliber player. That is a fair exchange of talent for Paul.
The Clippers gave up Kaman, Gordon, some guy named Al-Farouq Aminu and the pick that became Austin Rivers. The Clippers only had to give up one decent piece for Paul and Gordon plays like 50 games a year because he can't stay healthy.
What a ing joke.
