taking 2 games and a half to notice Batum on Parker was the blatantly obvious coverage

Parker will find a way to dismantle Batum

    True

im amazed he did not try that sooner

it does not make a lot sense but I will take it

I tried to keep track of TP attacking Batum on the 7 times I noted TP made a good play two times. Probably Batum will start game 4 on TP gonna be interesting to watch

its not an obvious adjustment tbh

    Batum is overrated on D
he got torched by Mills earlier this season

Pop has his adjustment to Batum on Parker also
    play Manu/Leonard backcourt

that leaves Wes on Leonard who he can score against and Lillard on Ginobili which is key
Spurfan are going crazy over Ginobili being in the game but thats why he is
theyre making Lillard work everytime down the floor on the defensive end
they dont want him resting on Green

Ginobili was easily able to rub him off on the screen and get free throws in the 1vs1 of Ginobili vs Lopez/Aldridge

They'll run him off screens and get him off parker same as Matthews. The only adjustment Tony has to make is to hit the midrange j. If Lopez or Aldridge step up, then Tony will just dish it off.

Batum is nothing special defensively. As we all know length gives tony some problems though. Batum isn't even close to Tonys level though.

He struggled at first, but they ran him off some picks and actually Manu just got te ball and went at Lillard. If they want to let many have easy layups, that's fine.

They played Batum on Parker in the earlier games. He's good in bursts, but tends to lose focus.

they actually didn't at all, only for really small portions

it was extremely effective in game 4 and game 5

I would have started game 1 with Batum on TP. Its public knowledge that Parker gets bothered by long defenders.
