Dark Side of the Moon was Pink Floyds 3rd best Album
Alice in Chains was the finest Grunge band
Puff Daddy killed Rap
70's & 90's were the golden ages of Music
Finest Albums of the 90's were Siamese Dream, Achtung Baby & Ok Computer
I've seen this done on a few other forums. All you do is share any music opinions that typically contradict popular opinion. I'll go first.
1. The Beatles Suck.
2. Chiodos' best album is Illuminaudio. Brandon Bolmer owns Craig Owens in every way.
3. Kurt Cobain is one of the most overrated musicians of all time.
I'll post more if this catches on.

Almost 100% spot on...Not crazy about Achtung Baby but the rest of this post goes hard in the paint.
Punk totally sucks, 100% bad.
Me and two drunk buddies could master the Ramones stuff in a few hours.
Eric Johnson is the best guitarist from Texas.
un-popular? well based on my age group, i'm pretty against the grain... i'm not a fan of electronica unless im wasted tbh, in which case its fine. i enjoy rock music that actually includes guitar riffs, which is surprisingly unpopular among my age group
more generally speaking, i agree with Infinite Limit on Alice in Chains being the best grunge band.
guns n roses is largely unbearable besides appe e for destruction
70's hard rock (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc) is incredibly overrated.
after college it was hard to keep listening to it, overdid it.
Country is awful.
Pac and Biggie were not the best rappers ever.
98% of mainstream music is trash.
Remember Papa Roach? They were wack.
RATM > your favorite rock band.
Lincoln Park is annoying.
Hip-hop isn't dead.. Take a trip into the underground.
RHCP are ing garbage.
90's alt rock >>>>
The greatest rap song ever made is "Still Pimpin Pens" by Lil Keke (feat DJ Screw).
I'd put RATM in the garbage bin too.
Jesus god, yes.
Enya's Shepherd Moons album is the greatest bathroom dump music in history
I agree with you on Siamese and OK Computer. Those were the two defining albums of the 90's along with Vs. or 10.
John Fogerty's clash with the rest of CCR cost the band a spot in the upper echelon of greatest bands ever.
I think they're easily still there, just look at what they put out in a very short amount of time - Bayou Country, Green River, and Willy and the Poor Boys were all released in '69 alone.
Very true. I think, though, if they would've stop ing and worked together longer, they would've reached that atmosphere where they'd be mentioned with the likes of the overrated Beatles, Stones, and whatever group you want to lump in that discussion. Yeah, I know they were different, but like the hits you mentioned, it would've been dominance for a good portion of the 70's.
I was talking about the albums, not just the songs. It's pretty ridiculous to think about - they put out 7 albums in ~4 years and were done.
Yeah, I was caught up with the songs...I was envisioning how often my mom used to enjoy their music. So yeah, 7 albums is usually a solid career. They put out 7 albums in less than half a decade. They all were solid, too. But then again, back then musicians had time to craft. Not in a world where you just pump out album every other year and hope that you'll get at least 2 hits off the album. Cray.
Yeah, mainstream music is weird right now. There seems to be a split between Electronica (Lorde) music and Folk Revival (Mumford & Sons). In my junior high days, Nu-Metal (Linkin Park, Korn, etc.) was popular and in my high school days, Screamo (The Used) was popular. I'm wondering how the mainstream will change over the next few years. I hope rock music makes its way back to the forefront.
Yeah people used to try to convince me that slipknot was a great rock bandLinkin park was a big fad but they've been completely awful since transformers tbh
Lorde is not electronica--its more popish in nature. Electronica includes house, prog house, drum and bass, dubstep, acid house, sketch house, techno, ambien, psych trance. Lorde would probably be more hipster indie pop than anything remotely related to Electronica. Mainstream servers a purpose and a time and not everything underground is worthwhile or better than what you can find in the norm.
I think Bach was trying too hard
