Haven't heard of these books and I haven't read a vampire series before but might give this one a shot.
I enjoyed the books, should make an interesting series. Vampires, but the way people are infected is different than most traditional vampire lore.

I am undeaded out. Even if it's a good show it will be difficult for me to give a crap.

I really really really hate vampire shows/movies, but this one looks really good.
