Why would Finley go to Miami?

I just dont get this rumor, if he is released from Dallas why in the world would he go somewhere and not start. This guy is still in his late 20's a little young to be a bench warmer, when he has been a starter his whole career.

If waived, Finley will only receive $5-million in annual increments until he gets $51-million. So, if he signs with Phoenix for "friendship" then he only earns $6.5-million ($5-million + veteran exception) for the year, as opposed to the total $10-million that Denver, Miami and other teams that have their full MLE intact, can offer.
