The team will probably end up selling for upwards of $2 billion, tbh.... a team in the nation's 2nd-biggest media market with a favorable lease at their arena and the TV deal up for negotiation is always going to fetch a lot of money on the open market....
So you are saying Clippers are worth more than any NFL franchise Cowboys are worth little above 1 billion. No way clipper are worth that much dude is overpaying or scaring all the other bidder.

wouldn't it be cheaper to buy spurs/thunder/mavs or any small market team for 700-800 million and spend 1 billion to move & give job to couple of million people so make the market big lol just being funny!

Not a chance he would offer that much in hopes of a move to Seattle. With an owner willing to pay consistently for top talent, LA is the top money-making city. Lakers could fetch at least 3 times what the Clippers would sell for.
This guy is total moron, no wonder he offers 1.8 billion for thing worth at best half of it.
I remember a few years ago the Lockets were only worth 0.4 billion, less than a quarter of the monkeyball franchise.
