Associated Press -- Former Iowa basketball player Brad Lohaus, charged with fourth-degree theft for allegedly taking money for a fly rod he sold through eBay without shipping the item, will stand trial this month.
Lohaus, 40, was a four-time letter-winner for the Hawkeyes and was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the second round of 1987 NBA draft. He played for eight NBA teams during his 11-year career, which ended with the San Antonio Spurs in 1998.
The charge is a serious misdemeanor punishable by a maximum one year in jail and $1,500 fine. He is scheduled to go to trial on Aug. 22.

Question: Are there any 7 foot police officers in the US? Who was he trying to sell that to? And where did he get a uniform that size anyway? That just had poor planning written all over it.
Damn, I knew I should have protested that speeding ticket.![]()
