He looked done last year than hit 5 3s in game 7.
Despite claims he's a s of his former self from last year, he's one of those guys that always steps up against us.
I have mad respect for him, because he's a smart, hard-working guy, but he's their Bruce Bowen. Love him in your team, hate him on the other. The Bowen comparison I think fits perfectly. He has the same dirty defense, flamboyant flopping, and it's the kind of vet that built a reputation, can get away with , and does get away with (see Fisher in the previous round for another example).
He was there for 8 in Memphis, and obviously coming through huge for Miami last year in the last game.
Would actually be sweet to avenge that too with a championship win... and potentially sending another Spurs-killer into retirement, tbh
He looked done last year than hit 5 3s in game 7.
Dude's been riding coattails for like 10 years..
Yeah I don't like him either, I think he could limit Boris influence quite significantly tbh, I can see some Manu-esque low post defense ending in flops... Hopefully Boris can dominate him and draw Lebron but I'm not especially optimistic...
Battier was the best 6th man Spur player in the Finals.
He was one of the main reason Spurs were able to take Heat to the brink. I hope Battier averages 40 minutes per game tbh

True, guy lives to beat the Spurs. Respect the heal outta him though, unlike Fisher.
We buried Fish and we'll bury the poor man's Grant Hill too tbh.
I also think Rashard Lewis will replace Mike Miller and hurt us as well.
Hate him with a burning passion. Has a reputation as an 'elder statesman' of the NBA, but like Fisher, is nothing but a dirty pussy out on the court
Damn hater I like you but you're complety wrong on that one, Battier played only two games, the last two and hit 75% from 3 while playing some clutch and tenacious D...
Without Battier AND Miller we'll fare much better this time around.
why do you think he only played so little? he was completely awful and was eventually benched. Of course for game 7 he made a comeback but series was already over then. He did start playing at the beginning of the series and was the best Spur 6th man.
I hope to God Battier plays a LOT this series

He did suck during their run up to that point tho, underrated coaching job by Spoelstra to reinsert him in the rotation against our tired tosbs...
Him and Chalmers are the two I dislike the most. Chalmers especially...I can't stand that little .
Would be glorious to send em both into retirement, tbh
agree. he was Spurs best 6th man prior to that...

Steve Mason is rooting for the Spurs so Tim can retire and Pop can coach the Lakers![]()
Yeah, that's the difference. Shane always had kind words about the Spurs, tbh... he also didn't quit 3 teams with some bull family excuse...
I still prefer him over that diva Ray Allen.
This. Told a buddy we're moving on from Fisher to Battier.
He's got Baraka blades for arms and is always getting tangled up with people "accidentally".
WHATCHYOU TALKING ABOUT BAAM??

Shane was a good player but luckily has his best years behind him. Like Fisher. If Spurs allow an ancient Battier to do damage to them, they probably don't deserve the trophy.
This is the year of payback. I just wish James Harden could have had a taste. That Jive Sucker didn't come to play.
Outside of LeBron and Bosh, they have some pretty made players. I like and respect the Heat as a team, but individually some of them are unlikeable.
