Prediction: This will not be OP's last ty thread.
Possibly causing the spurs the tle...
Anything less than 80% parker is = Loss imo...
Dribble dribble dribble dribble
Prediction: This will not be OP's last ty thread.
if he is hurt to bad pop will bench him especially early in the series trying to get him healthy
Not a chance, and even still, Pop won't stand for any ing up from him. We've got capable backups to cover Parker's ass if necessary.
Nor his first.
All he has to do is make the right basketball play and not force anything. Take what they give
if it was that easy to be a great nba point guard they would be more in the nba
If Tony is so hurt that he's a detriment, I trust in Pop to figure that out quickly. If Tony is healthy he is arguably our greatest asset.
If Parker is hurt, the series is over.
Bingo.
Go to the store.
Purchase the economy size bottle of draino.
Drink till it's empty.
You are probably dead on. His injury last year cost them the finals IMO, if he is hurt nearly as bad as game 3 last year or not near 100% the Spurs are not going to win it.
He's hurt. The question is to what degree is he hurt and how will it effect his performance.
I have to agree with him. TP has a hero ball ego that writes checks his body won't be able to cash.
He wasn't hurt. Pure PR spin after the fact.
I could see him playing about 28 minutes in game 1. About 7 minutes a quarter. Mills and Joseph need to produce. I'd probably even favor Joseph given he is a better play maker.
I hope so. Pop needs to demand smart basketball or we are done.
Prediction: Parker will eat a French baguette along with a nice hot bowl of French onion soup sometime in the near future.
While it would be nice for Parker to play at peak level and help the Spurs dominate the Heat, the reality is that Parker has been extremely bad in the playoffs and the Spurs have actually played better when he's on the bench, statistically, tbh..
If he can play at peak level, the Spurs can beat Miami in 5-6, but there's really no reason to believe he can play at peak level for an entire series(considering his injuries, age and the fact that he played last Summer), so it'll be a toss-up series..
Spurs can win without Parker, as long as Pop doesn't stubbornly leave him on the floor when he's struggling, since it would hurt the team..thankfully, Pop has already shown that he isn't afraid to bench Tony when he doesn't have his legs..
The truth is that he hasn't been that bad... Dallas whole gameplan was based on limiting him... Besides he's playing with ty spacing or Matt Bonner the defensive liability all POs... Give him Boris who is playing his best bball since 2006 in the SL and all a sudden his advanced numbers will skyrocket...
He hasn't been good either by his standards but still, he's far from hurting the team, if a team didn't have to worry about him and based their whole gameplan on Manu we'd have a turnover record in the making... I really don't see how you can imagine a win without Parker, seems farfeteched to say the least... Mills can't run the point, he's a midget chucker, Joseph is well... a 13th man...
If you're gonna beat em you better do it in 6 games or less. You can't give Miami that 3rd win.
People reading to much into the Parker ankle.... Spurs just spinning , he will be GTG game 1.
