The Spurs are 4 wins away from taking away the bragging rights of my Mavs. My Mavs are the only team to eliminate Superfriends in the playoffs and the Finals. I guess even if the Spurs do ring. At least, I can say my Mavs were first. And if you're not first, you're last. I hate the Heat but I probably hate Wade more than I hate the Heat but I also despise the Spurs. However, my hatred for Wade and the Heat is far greater and deeper than the Spurs. At the same time, the Spurs have good chance of ringing so I'm torn.
Or maybe there is a silver lining to a Spurs' championship. It would likely mark the beginning of the end of Superfriends. And it would prove without a doubt that Lebron is Texas' in the NBA.

By the way, your Mavs won the championship in 2011, regardless to what happens in this year. Even if we win, your guys did it first when the Heat were, admittedly, not exactly as good as they are now. But either way, they did it and that can't be taken away, even if we do it. There's really not a big deal.
Besides, if we lose, you have more to brag about.And if we win, we can just be on the same grounds as each other.
As a mavs fan you can feel proud either way imho. If the Spurs lose then you would remain the only team to have eliminated Super friends, and if they win you can still take credit for preventing the cHeat from 3-peating.
there is a bright side to everything imho, it's just that some people can't see it especially those who are pessimistic like Jacob. While you seem to be stuck in a dead end job with no hope of promotion, there's still something of your life that many people begrudge... you're a celibate so you have the luxury to still play computer games like a teenager does when you're already in your 30s. People are supposed to live for fun and there'd be no fun at all if you have a & several kids to feed. At the very least we will always have the rights to brag about celibacy, which is a testament to our superior intelligence to most people imho. We are at the Isaac Newton level tbh.

Heat ain't gonna 3-peat this year and the Super Friends will probably never win a championship again together. 3peat hasn't happened since Shaq-Kobe which was more than a decade ago. And it's always a Texan team that ends championship streaks in the recent two decades... 94' Lockets, 99' Spurs, 03' Spurs, 11' Mavs, and I believe you'll add 14' Spurs to that list after game 5 or game 6 of this year's NBA finals.
