this year he's averaging 10 points for the playoffs
the significance here cant be stated enough tbh...

besides being a Lebron stopper he is a mismatch nightmare for the Heat
he can play small easily and abuse a washed up Battier/Lewis in the block while still giving SA a height advantage

Ginobili has also been the Spurs best player in their 2 toughest series and he was having one of the WOAT playoff series weve ever seen from a player of his caliber tbh

he's not a lebron stopper, but he's capable of checking him for a couple of minutes to spot leonard without getting completely annihilated

more importantly, if Diaw continues to assert himself offensively, he'd keep LeBron off of TP

This tbh. But if Tony doesn't establish himself in this series may be no need to put LB on TP.

Diaw found himself on this team in game 6 of last year finals but then pop benched him for too long in the fourth. That player has carried over all this season and playoffs with the fruits of it being in game 6 against the thunder.

He's gonna be a huge factor this series.

It's a great point, besides the eye test every number points to Diaw being much better than last playoffs.

    13 - 0 ten+ point games (out of 16)
    14 - 7 ten+ point games (out of 18, high of 26)

    13 - 2 games of 5+ rebounds
    14 - 5 games of 5+ rebounds

    13 - 1 game of 4+ assists
    14 - 5 games of 4+ assists

13 - 7 games of under 15 minutes of playing time
14 - 0 games of under 15 minutes of playing time, only 1 game of under 20 minutes

    13 - PER of 10.1
    14 - PER of 17.0

The difference between this year's Diaw and last could be huge.
