When I see Big Red Boner doing well in an important playoff game the planets are in alignment.
They look so calm. Focussed. Not intimidated by the big stage at all. Every one of them. Even Matt ing Bonner swishes two FT in Game 3, fakes threes and delivers two times this game.
They are ready. This is our year.

pop spent this year playing a ton of different lineups. This is not normal for NBA teams, where most bench players get no run with the starters.
So, nothing different from what they had already done in regular season.
On the other hand, the Heat didn't develop anyone because they are older than dirt.
Something unusual this year: Most championship contendors have one or two crafty, cagey veterans, the guys who have been around forever, who are slowing down but can make plays or rally the younger guys. Derek Fisher, Mitch Richmond, Jerome Kersey, etc.
The Spurs have none of these players, at least among the bench/role-players, discounting Ginobili as he's star-level. Literally the rest of the team beyond him and Duncan are younger guys.
The Heat, meanwhile, have none of the young, hungry guys who are fleet of foot and maybe not as wiley. Literally none. Oden and Beasley were supposed to pan out but haven't, at all. Their role-players are all crafty vet types, who are breaking down.
Mills looked extremely focused and determined. He's been a real contributor all year. Dude is just exciting to watch!
who are the bench/role players?
who are the starters?
who is the Big 3?
who are you?
The reason why SA is on the verge of a 5th le is they're role players
even ayres and baynes were snapping boards and cojo looked like a poor mans rose (lol) with miami just standing around, utterly defeated.
loved that. exactly right.
