his like the goat that tries to climb the mountain, only to fall down back to earth
You could make a case for Magic as the GOAT and he was 5-4 in the Finals and basically cost the Lakers a le in '84 (Lebron's equivalent is '11).
And can we really blame him for '07? The Cavs weren't supposed to get by Detroit.
I ain't trying to make excuses for him. I just believe in fair criticism. This series can't be blamed on James. He's averaging 27 on 70% TS and is the centerpiece of the Heat defense. Wade has been awful and the Heat's PG rotation is dead.
Listen man....When you're game is dribble around the court and make Wade and Bosh spot up shooters, you can't be suprised when they miss those shots. All he does is statpad his points and assist man.
2-3 in the finals....yeah his GOAT aspirations are done. Especially when he has NO compe ion in the East, and had to run to Miami to beat an old, decrepit Boston team.
I think it's nearly impossible to pull off at this point when Jordan is a perfect 6 of 6 in Finals with monster Finals stats and no game 7's.
I don't see how percentages matter in this. A finals loss is better than a conference finals loss no matter how Kirbystan tries to spin it.
I'd say why not do a percentage of finals wins over seasons played, but that would downplay the importance of longevity.
A lot of players don't even make the finals. LeBron is good for 4 Rings in his career most likely.
No. les are a team accomplishment, not an individual accomplishment. If the Heat do go on to lose, they will no longer be in the running for one of the all time great teams though. When you combine Lebron's freakish size, athletic ability, and skill with what he has been able to accomplish on the court already, there is no taking him out of the GOAT discussion at this point. His case is weak right now, but he is in the discussion.
Dude is still playing at an MVP level. He has plenty of time.
If James joined the Cavaliers (or another Franchise with 0 les within the past 20 years) and won 2 les there, I would consider putting him in the Top 8. Otherwise nothing impresses me.
Yes Lebron wants to play for the Bucks. Next question
Raped in 2007, choked to death in 2011, carried by Wade in 2012, carried by Allen/Miller in 2013...at this point, he's probably not even the greatest basketball player named Lebron.
