I know Spurs' fans think this is in the bag and are probably gonna be at Academy Sports at halftime of game 5. I just have this strange feeling that Superfriends are going to be super in game 5. I really think this is going back to Miami. Maybe the Spurs being up 3-1 is just some sick tease by the NBA and Silver is about to flip the switch. I think the Heat and Lebron have too much pride and are too insecure to lose in 5. Game 5 winner wins the championship.

after the pain of not being able to close out last year, i don't think the spurs will take game 5 lightly just because they have a comfy lead. they smell blood, miami is reeling.

spurs have them figured out, heat r too dazed. they know they can't match up. too much. spurs beat them by 20pts on their court two games in a row. u can't script anything better. nba can't. outmatched. nothing refs can do. spurs aren't playing like they did last years finals. things have changed. if the was close in box score u might (big might) have a point. s in the bag. spurs have that bad taste in their mouth from last finals. that's the major difference. u can't stop that determination. seriously. and the heat aren't going to make history with that sour taste in spurs mouth especially because of last year. these dudes know they had it in the bag last year but blew it. s not happening again especially with 3-1 and 1-1-1 format left.

Sadly, not happening. We can't brag anymore about being the only team to defeat super friends. We can at least be proud of beating superfriends when they were more athletic.

Too many weapons for the Spurs for any of that nonsense to happen.

Of course you think that. You're biases. You want to retain bragging rights for beating Miami.

    Sorry, not happening.

There is literally nothing Miami can do adjustment wise.... Pretty much the only option they have is to go man to man defense and that would be a desperation move as well as a certain death move for Miami. They havn't played man to man defense for 4 years because they literally do not have the personel for it, nevermind that the Spurs would thrive even more if Miami did that.

The only thing Miami has a hope to win at least one more game is for the Spurs to come out super cold in shooting having like a 40% or less shooting night and Tony trying to play hero ball. Baring that, this is pretty much just a formality now. I'm not counting Miami out, they might pull out an inspired win on Sunday, but they will not be able to sustain it for 3 games.

I know this is another annoying win/win thread that you bump if the situation occurs and then it gets conveniently ignored when the expected happens, but I don't see how the Heat are just gonna flip the switch after getting blown out by 20 in back to back games and win 3 in a row.

rofl what's gonna change all of a sudden? pretty awful take unless you have some evidence to back it up

It doesn't matter what he does if the rest of his teamates dont step up.

He can go for 50 and still lose if the rest put up a ty effort.

In fact, the Spurs will live with James doing all the scoring if it means the rest just take the night off. That's just another recipe for a loss.

Maybe not, but Wade & Chalmers have been on their knees since Game 3 tbh.

Well I just don't think it's over. I think everyone including myself got too caught up with the ass raping the Spurs did to the Heat last night. I just think that Lebron does not want to lose in San Antonio. Lebron always loses the Finals at home.

Miami won't win the series but they won't lose a 3rd straight game either. It's going back to Miami.

Even if Spurs ended up taking the series and the championships, they did a uva better job than your Mavs have ever done to take out the superfriends tbh

I think it's worse for the Spurs because Duncan, Parker, Manu, and Bonner had won before and never choked in the Finals. They shouldn't have choked in game 6 last year but they did. My Mavs were huge underdogs and were supposed to win against Superfriends in the Finals but they did. My Mavs have a better case. It only took them one Finals to do it. This is the 2nd chance for the Spurs. You guys are just butt hurt that your team wasn't the first. You are also still sore and bitter over 6 and you should because the Spurs throw last year's championship away.

I'm guessing you're forgetting 2006 on purpose? You had your chances before that and your Mavs choked as well. You've nary room. Also - you got the "superfriends" when they were still building chemistry. We faced them at their peak.

The fact that a Mavs fan made the OP makes it a thread about the Mavs, tbh. He wants the glory of 2011 to be remembered, he gonna get on.
