    No troll, just wondering.

He seems really socially awkward, or maybe he's a little slow. I can't tell. Any guesses?

could have some bit of autism. perhaps not. my brother has it and I see some similarities, but I'm no neurologist. Their brains tend to focus like mofos on something, but block out everything else a lot of the times, so they seem detached. even when the other players are bored with the game and chatting, he's still observing and studying. this is also why they can be savants or incredible at certain things, because they focus at a level that is not possible to your average person.

He's unique. Not just his hand size and length, but his workouts and practice seem beyond the other guys, and this team is full of hard workers.

Tons of guys don't like to talk, but they doesn't come off the way Kawhi does. It's not an insult, I just think he's an awkward individual.

I Wouldn't say he's awkward he's just a silent individual. Nothing wrong with that really, it's not causing any problems for the team obviously

I was thinking this too. It was an unexpected death too. Couldve been very traumatic.

I think we are used to seeing young players open there mouths and a bunch of crap come out so when Kawhi doesn't say much we all think something is wrong with him. He's just mature for his age, takes his responsibility very seriously and doesn't have a lot to say.

It's not that at all. The Spurs aren't a flashy team, and don't celebrate after every dunk and 3 pointer. I love that about this team. I'm referring to his general demeanor and mannerisms.

It seems like he pushes the quiet/stoic image on and off the court because occasionally you'll see him "forget" that he's supposed to be quiet and emotionless. It's quite genius, actually.

Would be hilarious if true. I saw a gif of him in college trolling Jimmer, so you may be on to something.

The thing about psychiatric disorders is that they are merely rough attempts to label very complex phenomena. There are millions of people who are incorrectly diagnosed, and there are millions of people walking around with debilitating disorders who go undiagnosed. It's still a very imprecise science, so any diagnosis should be interpreted with caution.

With that said, if he were to be tested, he might qualify for Asperger's syndrome. However, if the symptoms don't interfere with his daily life, most psychiatrists are hesitant to diagnose. He could also have social anxiety (aka social phobia), or he could just be highly introverted.

There is no evidence whatsoever that he is "mentally slow" so I have no idea where you got that.

He's just reserved. He lets his performance on the court do the talking.
