Last year the schedule was released Tuesday August 6.
...does anyone have an idea of when it will be released? I'm planning to attend the Spurs' home opener so I can see them get their rings and raise that 5th banner in person.

Hmmm...according to Wikipedia (not sure how accurate):

Yeah...usually it's in early August, IIRC. I can't wait to see who our opponent is for the opener. I hope it's the Lakers.

They haven't made the heat rematch any of their finals opponents on ring/banner night so it'd be pretty messed up if they did.
I predict we open up with okc or Houston.

Eager to see the schedule too. If this is my last shot to see Tim play in person I need to know when the Spurs are coming to town. (And hope it's not part of a B2B).
That happened due to the lockout with the season opening on Christmas day.
The original schedule of 2011-12 had Mavericks hosting the Bulls on opening night.
It's usually a double/tripleheader with teams playing each other that are in the same geographic area. Expect the Clippers and Warriors to round out the night, Spurs vs Thunder/Mavs/Rockets, and Miami vs Boston/NY.
I originally predicted the Suns, but I'm hoping it's the Mavericks.
Hmmm...we didn't face the Rockets in the playoffs, so I'm guessing we play them in the opener.
Shouldn't it be sometime this week compared to the previous years schedule release date?

Hanging out for this, need to sort out getting to watch 2 games in 3 nights in SA at some point in December. Hurry the up.
The schedule should be released this week. I'd love to open against the Lakers, so Kobe can watch Timmy get #5...plus we should win that game easily.

Release the schedule so I can get my first game tickets! Was at the final game and want to see them get the rings and unveil the banner!!!
Last year's schedule was announced on August 6th. Scheduling all those extra b2b's to accommodate a week long All-Star break appears to be causing a delay this year.
In the meantime, most of the preseason schedule is now known. Tickets for the home games go on sale tomorrow, so I'd expect an announcement with the full schedule today.

The three home games all start at 7:30 pm.
