Possibility of getting Bucks 1st-round pick for Kidd is remote. Several sources believe deal gets done in 24 hours w/ a 2nd rounder, or two.

Bucks ownership masking this as a coach hiring, but belief is that it's just matter of time until Kidd has full control in Milwaukee.
I am not going to laugh at them b/c at least they aren't giving up a 1st and are trying to turn their Org. around. Kidd did a fairly decent job the 1st year as the Nets coach. Bucks options are very limited, so they see Kidd as a young coach that can provide some longevity and continuity within for their team, which is young.
Supposedly they were going to fire Kidd, he heard about it and took a fit. I imagine that is a whopper put out by Net PR, but, they didn't have to do that, ESPN will take care of them here. In fact, ESPN will take care of both parties. This is the ultimate no fault divorce. Media does not want the Nets disturbed. Way too much $ involved to be poking fun at them.
First move in which Prokhorov wouldn't have been fleeced?
^See, see what you just did? You just cooked your own goose. No job for you with Media.
Seriously, how do I turn in an application for one of these coaching gigs? I couldn't be any worse than drink spiller.
What the do they want with a guy with a 480 SAT to run their organization?
LOL your coach & GM being in the bottom 1%.
Guy coaches one season and manages to work towards full control of a franchise? SMH.
I can't decide which organization should be more embarrassed, tbh.![]()
Pop did that with zero NBA HC experience. And its the Bucks, why should anyone of us care.

Fair point. But, Pop had years of tutelage under two hall of fame coaches. And lets not forget Pop was the GM BEFORE he became the Head Coach, it was self anointed. Additionally, after what was shown in this single year, the disaster it was, you now think this potential power is warranted?
Milwaukee with the better upside, you can always fire Kidd but those deals that the Nets have are a noose and no matter which coach they get they'll be kicking the chair by mid season.
It seems like the Bucks aren't going for it right now. I bet they told Kidd, come in a year, see how you do, and at that point they will talk about the dual role.
But this was a great move for Kidd b/c he leaves behind an old injure riddle Nets team for a Bucks team with a lot of young talent. I think Kidd just want to get out of the Nets org b/c he knew they were going nowhere.
Well, it's a good move for both. Nets need a veteran experienced coach to go along with this win now roster. And Kidd needs to be able to grow, and have room for error. No better place than a team like Milwaukee that has said room. As far as the intentions of the Bucks, I have no idea. I just know I wouldn't cede much control to a 2nd year coach with zero coaching experience otherwise. I don't care how many years he played in the league, and what status he achieved as a player.
