Classless GM. Morey loves to burn bridges with players. Last year it was Asik, this year it's Lin.
I personally don't care about Lin's feelings but the whole fanfare these teams go through to recruit someone is tired and old. Seriously, an image to say "picture yourself in Rocket red". So stupid. This guy wants to win and get paid. At the end of the day, I wouldn't be shocked if he stays in NY or is dealt in a sign-in-trade. I'm not convinced Phil wants Melo to begin with but he doesn't want to lose him for nothing. Trading him to Chicago might return some nice pieces.

Spoke to Lin's agents, Jim Tanner/Roger Montgomery, who say that Houston did NOT inform Lin that the No. 7 would be used for Melo images.

If 'Melo comes, Lin has to go in a trade -- which Lin's aware. Given 'Melo-Lin history, understandable why Lin would be sensitive about it.

Doesn't matter. Pretty sure Lin is gone no matter what the rockets do this offseason.
