I got an email from this guy who knows someone high up in baseball and I will testify that he did verbally announce to me that Raffy would be suspended a few days before it came down. here is the email he sent me( I made him put it in writing this time).
Well first let me just say that i have been posting again the last few
days because i now have a computer again, and it is great to be back
seeing all of the old posters still here. Second, what i am posting I
was not to mention at all to anyone but i just can't keep a secret and
would love to have this all over before old selig has a chance to put
it out there. I am just repeating what was told through my source that
I have through MLB that works with MLB's press releases. SO IF I AM
NOT CORRECT ABOUT THIS DON"T KILL THE MESSENGER!
I am hearing that 2 of baseballs biggest names will be announced
friday after they tested positive for steroids, i guess they appealed
just like palmeiro did and that is why it took so long for this to
come out. I must also tell you that my source told me about palmeiro
testing positive 2 days before they announced it, so i have a reason
to believe he is also right this time. A starting pitcher (old) from
the astros and a center fielder from the red sox have tested positive
and they will be announced and suspended come friday.
What this tells me is Friday means Friday August 19th and also, with the players he's mentioned that would say to me that it would be Roger Clemons and Johnny Damon. Could this be true? I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
who'da thunk Raffy would get busted after sitting on capital hill?
It's all rumor right now. I hope it's not Clemens, but he'll be fried if it's true.
Surely... Not Johnny... Ill Boo Him For The Rest Of My Life If Its True...
Where did this rumor start?
Clemens is pretty obvious in my book, not that he will be busted.
Why would he have descriptions and not names? That's not how rumors work.
I don't think so, he is like nolan ryan, a badass work ethic
Clemens and Damon?
Don't buy it.
Why not?
Clemens makes sense.
So does Damon.
Wouldn't suprise me in the least....

For what it's worth.
The guy who has started this rumor is the same guy who started the Raffy rumor two days before it was announced. We'll just have to wait and see.
Not worth much really. If it is Clemens you can bet MLB is at level 4 damage control right now. Lets see if Clemens mysteriously gets injured and spends some time il IL.
He's been having back problems for a couple weeks and got rocked in the 7th tonight, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did go on the DL.
Roger has looked the same his whole life. His legs and ass are why he has some much staying power, not his upper body.
I've long suspected Clemens.
Man, if this came down you could just walk around downtown Houston and watch people's heads explode.
I've suspected Bagwell more than Clemens...
I could see Clemens juicing in 1997 to get revenge on the Red Sox for giving up on him, but I don't see him doing it now. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Raffy doesn't look roided out either. Pitchers generally take steroids to heal nagging injuries faster. Would not surprise me the least after we and congress were lied to. Peter Gammons in his blog reported major league baseball could be holding as much as 58 names to protect bigger names from being exposed. Think about it. If all the names were released, do you think there would be much drama to a post season?
Apparently the rumor was just on FoxSportsRadio about Clemons and Damon. I wonder if it's true.
lol,Roger has looked the same his whole life. His legs and ass are why he has some much staying power, not his upper body.
did you try to disprove me, or prove my point??
Some guys use roids to build up the upper body, others use it for legs, others for stamina.
Damon is stamina and extra power.
Roger bulked the out of his glutes and legs.
Roger looked the same in college and his kids all look just like him in size. It is called genes, TPark...you have heard of them, yes?

Clemens always has been kind of barrel-shaped, but he started bulking up significantly once he went to Toronto.
The comparison of Roger today versus Roger ten years ago isn't quite as obvious as say, Barry Bonds or Mark McGwire, but it's still a big difference.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. I heard it on the radio this morning. I think some people here are in denial because its Roger Clemens. I can't stand Johnny Damon and so it doesn't matter to me. I would be disappointed in a way if it were true about Roger, but I wouldn't be surprised. The guy is over 40 and pitching like if he were in his mid-twenties. He has one of the lowest if not the lowest ERA in the game right now. This would really turn people off from MLB if this is true and comes out.
Gotta love how players are getting BETTER when they get into the mid to late 30's. No one is above su ion (except Griffey).
