Real caramel.
I love putting peanut butter on top of ice cream. Especially if it's some sort of chocolate.
For vanilla, I like to put Nutella on it.
When I was a kid, I used to put chocolate syrup and Grape Nuts on top.
And also, chocolate syrup and Rice Crispies
Real caramel.

since you mentioned bacon...
one of my favorite weird foods as a kid was Peanut Butter Bacon Cheese Toast. I wouldn't eat regular breakfast...hated it. For some reason, my mom knew how to make Peanut Butter Bacon Cheese Toast and I liked it so that's all I would eat for breakfast.
You fry some bacon. Toast some bread and put peanut butter on it. Then put the bacon on and cover with a piece of American Cheese.
Salmon.
Tuna, in a pinch
Never thought about using Grape Nuts. Will try that with the chocolate syrup next time.
, put some vanilla ice cream in some Frosted Flakes. Stoners paradise IMO.
Try Sun Chips and caramel instead.
I just got back from the store a little bit ago. I put caramel on my list because of this thread. I couldn't find any real caramel at the store I went to though. It was all high fructose corn syrup and artificial flavors.

, Sun Chips in my Frosted Flakes, or Sun Chips on my ice cream?
Also, regarding the caramel dilemna - purchase a bag of the caramel chews, and melt them in a double burner so it doesn't scorch. Make a in' caramel fondue.
I think with today's abundant usage of cheap sugars, the only way to get real caramels is to go homemade.
Maybe I'll make some with Belgium rock candy and honey.

, is it that damn serious?
You ever have Belgium rock candy?
Real caramel is little more than caramelized sugar. Why not alter the recipe to Belgium Rock Candy and honey for the sugars to caramelize?
No, I prefer my rock from the east side of San Antonio.
Glad you said it.
Baskin Robbins peanut butter and chocolate.
It's probably 500 calories per spoon but it's outstanding
melt butter in a pan, throw in sugar and you're good.
I've since changed my mind. I've learned a little bit here. Way better than the Big Brother Pube Thread.
Throw dat wasabi on the green tea ice cream.
Mannnn...I've been putting Wasabi on everything. Kikoman (and others) make this Wasabi sauce that's in a squeeze bottle. I've been using it for pizza. Especially when I get to the crust.
Also been eating Wasabi peas. Those might be pretty good on the ice cream now that I think about it.
There's much more than that. There is a specific temperature range to cook it at, and the caramelization quality and consistency varies with the temperature and time.
port wine, rum and brandy.
You can make basic caramel easily, it's not that hard. I've generally made it like that with whole grain mus and pineapple for a salmon glaze.
