Did anyone think Cruz was going to vote for him?

The vote was 71 to 26, with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, joining the GOP opposition.
With Democrats in control of the Senate, and only a majority vote needed to confirm Castro’s nomination to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development, there was little open debate about the 39-year-old mayor.
The vote was widely expected after Castro won the public backing of fellow Texan John Cornyn, the second-ranking Republican in the Senate. In a Senate hearing last month, Cornyn called the 39-year-old mayor an “example that the American dream is still very much alive.”
Castro is sooooo being primed to run with either Biden or Hillary in 2016....the only question is 'who asks first?'
Did anyone think Cruz was going to vote for him?
Will this ex-SA Hispanic mayor keep his enchilada zippered?
