Parliament and Funkadelic do very different sounding stuff IMO. Funkadelic is more rock sounding for the most part, while Parliament is just crazy, off the wall funk.

I think Funkadelic was George Clinton's first group, Parliament his second. Isn't Parliament Funkadelic the name of the group he's been doing tours with including members from both? Come to think of it I'm pretty sure he put out an album or two under the name Parliament Funkadelic in the 90s (I remember the song Paint the Whitehouse Black which I think was Parliament Funkadelic).
